The collection includes materials used by the extension nutritionists in their work on the state level, letters, memoranda, reports, sample bulletins issued by the S.E.R.A. and isolated meeting minutes. Inez Hobart's paper, "Directions for use of short cut method on budgeting" (n.d.), concerns a food distribution problem. Also included is a folder on material relating to the school hot lunch S.E.R.A. project including a small collection of ca. 1910 photographs showing the first hot school lunch served in Douglas County MN.

Inez Hobart, state nutrition specialist and associate professor in home economics, was associated with the University of Minnesota Agricultural Extension Service 1923/1924-1954.
